Sandhya Theatre Injunction Order Restricts Media Coverage

In connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, the Vacation Civil Judge-cum-XXV Additional Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad, has passed an Ad-Interim Ex Parte Injunction Order on June 4, 2026, in I.A. No. 369 of 2026 in O.S. No. 216 of 2026. This Sandhya Theatre injunction order addresses media coverage during the pendency of legal proceedings.

Restrictions on Media and Social Media

As per the said order, during the pendency of the proceedings, no person or entity shall publish, broadcast, circulate, or disseminate any speculative reports, unfounded allegations, misleading statements, prejudicial discussions, debates, news reports, or social media content relating to the subject matter of the case that could influence public opinion or misrepresent the facts before they are adjudicated by the Court.

Compliance Required from All Parties
